Arley fundraiser supports local children’s cancer charity

Festive spirit arrived early at Arley Hall as guests browsed an array of more than 75 stalls at the annual Arley Hall Shopping Spectacular, held at the home of Lord and Lady and sponsored by Boodles.

The event raised £37,000 for The Joshua Tree, a Northwich-based children’s cancer charity.

A preview shopping evening saw visitors enjoying a drink at the Knutsford-based Piccolino pop-up bar whilst The Roberts Bakery band performed alongside Terra Nova School choir, entertaining the 1,500 visitors.

Pippa Watson-Peck, fundraising, communications and events manager at The Joshua Tree, said: “The shopping spectacular could not happen without the help of volunteers from Roberts Bakery, Barclays and Royal London, not to mention our regular supporters.

We’re grateful to the Arley committee and to the Ashbrook family, particularly as we are working so hard to develop our new purpose-built support centre in Sandiway. The money raised will go towards the build, which we hope to complete by the end of 2019.”
