Runway on the Runway, a glittering charity fashion show showcasing top prom-wear in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, returns for a third time this year.
In 2015 the second Runway on the Runway fashion show raised more than £40,000 for young people living with cancer here in the North West, with organisers hoping to boost that to £50,000 in 2017.
This popular event, which is also an uplifting account of teen battles against adversity, will take place on March 31 at Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor’s Centre on a spectacular custom-built catwalk under a decommissioned Concorde.
The event will feature models from 10 high schools all of whom will work with the Runway on the Runway team to choreograph their own catwalk, as well as doing their own fundraising for the cause.
Sponsors for the 2017 event include Benefit, Ted Baker, Coast, Debenhams, Lipsy, Sherri Hill and Trevor Sorbie Salons, as well as Manchester-based Boss Model Management and Thomas Cook Airlines. Tickets are on sale now and are available from www.runwayontherunway.co.uk.
