Harriet, who is in Year 3 and from Prestbury, says “I practise every day and twice a day on Saturdays and Sundays.” She gave a virtuoso performance with her own choice of music, Mozart’s minuet in F, to win The Tree Cup which dates back to 1967. She was then specially selected to perform at the finale giving another bold and faultless performance.

Harriet said: “I was very excited about playing at the Alderley Edge Festival Finale. I love playing the piano, especially in front a of big audience when I really want to do my best”.

Her piano teacher, Jo Beesley said: “Harriet is a delightful musical sponge! She loves playing and works hard consistently to develop her natural musicality. The opportunity to perform, hear others, and receive encouragement is such a great boost to progress and pleasure, our thanks go to those who organise the Festival.”
