Knutsford’s new walking food tour had its soft launch last Thursday with a host of food writers, cooks and tourism experts enjoying the wide range of food on offer.
Guests enjoyed a variety of dishes ranging from brunch courtesy of the Lost & Found, through to tapas and wine from Evuna; smoked meatballs from The Freemasons to cheese from The Cheese Yard and tea from the Cha Bar and ice creams and sorbets from The Real Fruit Creamery.
Booths and The Market Hall were also involved giving each participant a fantastic overview of Knutsford and what it has to offer.
At each eatery guests were introduced by tour guide Sophie Elizabeth, of Sophie’s Scran, and gained a little background information about the produce and its origins.
Andy McKinney, of Marketing Cheshire, said “You may think you know Knutsford, but this tour goes beyond the menu by meeting the owners and finding out about their eatery, food and ethos. Oh, you also get to taste some really nice dishes, chat to people and walk around enough to build up your appetite!”
The full list of participating restaurants is set out below but the tour aims to evolve both with the seasons and produce on offer and will also vary the eateries on each tour.
- Lost & Found
- The Market Café
- Morgan Edwards Fine Wines & Spirits
- The Freemasons
