Virgin Trains offers platform for local businesses at Crewe

Virgin Trains s offering a platform to local businesses who wish to showcase their products in the First Class Lounge at Crewe station.

The company is opening the doors of the lounge to local businesses every Wednesday. The idea is to support businesses in the region by giving them a platform to show-off some of their best products. It will also enhance the travelling experience of customers by giving them the opportunity to view and sample some fantastic locally-produced fare,” the company told us today.

“Virgin Trains has enjoyed amazing support from customers and businesses over the past few months and we’d like to give something back,” said Shelia Breeze, the station manager at Crewe.

“Cheshire has so much to offer in terms of products and services and Virgin Trains would love to help play a part in bringing these offerings closer to our customers. The Cheshire Lounge is a wonderful space to meet people and display products, and I’m confident the local community will welcome this initiative with great enthusiasm.”

The First Class lounge at Crewe station was given a makeover in recent years, transforming it into a modern comfortable facility used by hundreds of business and leisure customers every day. It already hosts regular exhibitions and meetings.

The station is used by nearly 3m passengers every year.
