All Hallows year 11 students were packed and ready to spend an action-packed few days at Soli House, a retreat centre nestled in the Alton countryside.
Little did they know that they would come back with new friends, new experiences and a greater understanding of our faith…
Throughout the course the 18 excited students enjoyed the four day retreat, the students learnt different ways to pray which helped everyone become closer to God in a way that felt right for the students.
The group also had the opportunity to become closer through a variety of team building activities, such as a challenging obstacle course and the groups’ favorite, a ‘Riff-Off’ singing competition. These activities were not only a lot of fun, but also a chance to push themselves to see what they could achieve when working together.
On the first day, the students were asked what they wanted to get out of the retreat and among the answers were ‘like meeting new people’ and ‘doing outdoor activities’ and one was a takeaway and nachos! To the surprise of all of the students, on the last night they had pizza and a movie night, which was a perfect end to a great trip!
