20 year old aviation student, Simone Johnson, from Culcheth, is celebrating after spending her summer holidays working as a passenger service agent for Jet2.com. What’s different is that Simone is only half-way through her course at Warrington Collegiate.

Simone, who has always wanted to work in the aviation industry, says, “I am thrilled to have this amazing opportunity to work at Manchester Airport. Jet2.com is a fantastic company to work for and the training really complements the course at college. My tutor at college has been absolutely brilliant and having worked for Jet2.com herself she was able to give some good tips so I’ve settled in really quickly.”
Charlotte Collins, lecturer in tourism at Warrington Collegiate, is tremendously proud of Simone, “This is a wonderful achievement for a student who has still one year of the course to complete. Simone is loving every bit of her role as a passenger service agent from check-in and boarding to arrivals and dealing with customers’ questions and queries “It’s very rewarding being there at the start of the customer’s holiday. The children’s faces and reactions are just magic, especially the little ones who suddenly realise they’re off on holiday. They’re so excited; it’s just one big adventure to them.”
