Having previously won “New Festival on the Block” and “Mind-Blowing Spectacle” at the Association of Independent Festivals, bluedot, the annual intergalactic festival at Jodrell Bank Observatory that fuses music, science, arts and culture, has been nominated for ‘Best Medium Festival’ at this year’s UK Festival Awards at the Troxy in London.

Festival organiser, Ben Robinson, said: “bluedot is a truly spectacular event held in an even more spectacular location and being nominated for ‘Best Medium Festival’ is a real real testament to everyone involved.
We are yet to win a UK Festival Award and winning Best Medium would be truly incredible. We’d be delighted if people could take five minutes out of their day to vote!
We have an amazing bill for 2019, the best yet. It’s not just the headline artists that will impress, we’ve really raised the bar with our science, arts, culture, wellbeing and food content and have some very exciting announcements in the coming months. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to bluedot for another weekend of discovery”

Taking place July 18-21, 2019 at Jodrell Bank, the Cheshire observatory at the cutting edge of humanity’s quest for knowledge, bluedot is a four-day festival of discovery that fuses a complex mix of artists, speakers, scientists and performers into an event unlike any on earth.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Moon landings, attendees can again expect an ultra-special weekend of talent from across the musical, scientific, literary and arts communities with five distinct arenas featuring cosmic culture, talks, screenings, lectures, comedy and debates, a vast spectrum of hands-on activities and much more.
