The Edgy
At the other end of the spectrum, stars embraced edgy design and structures with dresses featuring cut-out detailing, graphic monochrome and a rebel edge (expect lots of zips, chains, vinyl, leather and studs next season).

Jane Fonda continued to fly the flag for colour (the ageless actress wowed the crowds at the 2013 Oscars in a canary yellow Atelier Versace long-sleeve gown) and rocked two bright and beautiful dresses, first stepping out in floor length hot pink (a custom-made, off-the-shoulder ruched Badgley Mischka jersey gown), closely followed by cool aqua (a body-skimming Versace dress) – very Côte d’Azur.
