After almost three whole months of consistently warm weather, and then some, I’m slowly getting over the shock of having to dig out an extra layer for those crisp mornings and bordering-on-chilly autumnal evenings.
Luckily the British High Street has come up trumps and from essential puffers to luxurious leather, there’s a wonderfully warm layer for every occasion this season.
As reported in the September issue, Seventies soul is still capturing our imaginations and sexy shearling is undoubtedly the cosiest winter coat trend on our list this year!
Too hot one minute, too cold the next? The classic trans-seasonal outerwear option, the trench coat, is lightweight and effortless to layer, and this season it’s been updated with a high shine glossy finish.
So ease in gently to the whole buying-and-wearing-a-coat-again thing with some of our favourite extra layers.
