‘Design a sausage’ in Prestbury

Prestbury Farm Shop teamed up with Prestbury Primary School to run a competition to ‘Design a Sausage’.

There was a catalogue of entries from schoolchildren with wonderfully creative ideas including sizzling Scottish sausages, Morrocan lamb twists, vegetarian sausages and a most interesting and communal entry which featured pork from the Farm Shop, chilli from the Co-op, beer from the Admiral Rodney and chocolate from The Chocolate Box.

“Clearly this entry is bidding for liberal candidacy in the village”, said Charlie Lawson who alongside Debbie Stanley from the Farm Shop announced the winner during assembly.  “The winning entry we have decided will be awarded to Lily Pettener for her pork, black pudding and orange sausage.  We will invite Lily at some stage to come to the shop and help to make her sausage which will feature her name on the label too.”
