Gerard (Gerry) Rooney, managing director of mosshaselhurst solicitors, has been elected president of the Cheshire and North Wales Law Society.

Qualifying as a solicitor in 1980, Gerry joined mosshaselhurst in 1982. He became a partner in 1983 and senior partner in 1998. He is an APIL senior litigator specialising in personal injury claims, county court proceedings, employment for employers and employees, partnership property disputes and debt collection.
At the Law Society’s Annual Dinner at Chester Race Course in February, Gerry was very pleased to name the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award as John Pickup MBE.
John was admitted as a solicitor in March 1961; became a partner in 1963 and senior partner in 1980. Since April 1998 John has been a consultant at mosshaselhurst, continuing to pass on his years of knowledge and experience to those around him.
