Knutsford-based, independently-owned lifestyle magazine publisher, Junction 19 Media Limited, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its popular monthly lifestyle magazine, INCheshire, with the 120th issue rolling off the presses this week.
During a decade when many national and local newspapers and magazines have seen their seasonally fluctuating circulations take a massive nosedive, falling into terminal decline in some cases, niche free distribution publications like INCheshire magazine, and its sister publication, Prestbury Living magazine, which offer consistent levels of household penetration month in and month out, are going from strength to strength.
But it hasn’t always been easy going, as publishing director, David Cunnellon, explained: “During the last ten years more than twenty other print magazines and newspapers of varying formats have been launched within the areas we cover only to subsequently close down. More recently, a number of online publications have also ‘launched’, some of which have lasted little more than a few months before disappearing just as quickly as they appeared.
