Joseph is living his dream

Performing arts student, 19 year old Joseph Connolly is following in the footsteps of the famous, as he attends the National Youth Theatre (NYT) Summer School in London for the opportunity to appear on leading West End Stages and international stages around the world.

Joseph is from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, originally, but moved to Cheshire to stay with an aunt in Golborne so he could attend Warrington Collegiate to study performing arts. “I looked at the course online and then came to visit the college and loved it, so I stayed. The tutors are amazing, they give you so many opportunities to get involved in different productions and try out new and experimental material.”

The National Youth Theatre is the leading platform for showcasing young acting talent and was the first youth theatre in the world. For the past 56 years NYT has nurtured some of the finest British acting talent including Orlando Bloom, Hugh Bonneville, Daniel Craig, Daniel Day-Lewis, Dame Helen Mirren DBE, Matt Smith, Catherine Tate and many more.
