Marketing Cheshire has announced Mr Mark Boler, owner and CEO of The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, as the latest member of its Cheshire Ambassador Programme.

The programme acts as a promotional platform to sell the county as a destination to its various audiences through its core programmes: Invest Live, Study, Visit or Meet.
Boler grew up in Cheshire and most recently led the £15 million redevelopment of The Mere Golf Resort & Spa.
His appointment reaffirms his position as an established ambassador of the county. “My roots are firmly grounded in Cheshire having grown up in the county myself, developed The Mere resort and established my family locally too. I’ve always been passionate about promoting the diversity within the region. This new ambassador position formalises a role that I have been doing for a long time. I look forward to working closely with Marketing Cheshire to ensure the county benefits from the investment required to continue its position as one of the best places to live, study and work in the UK.”
“We want Cheshire to be recognised as a region bursting with opportunity, for visitors, students and business people” commented Katrina Michel, CEO, Marketing Cheshire “Mark Boler is an established business leader in Cheshire and he has already helped to establish The Mere as an excellent destination for business and leisure activities in the county. We’re excited to have him on board, helping to spread the word about the benefits of working, living, studying and visiting Cheshire on a national and international platform,” commented Katrina Michel, CEO, Marketing Cheshire.
