The sanctuary called on the marketing and PR know-how of the agency to build a greater online presence, increase engagement with supporters and raise awareness of the work they do.

The sanctuary’s Twitter following has doubled in less than six months and it has established a marketing database of more than 1000 supporters. They also design and distribute their new monthly e-newsletter, ‘Flea-Mail’, enabling the sanctuary to stay in touch with sponsors, adopters and supporters whilst keeping costs to a minimum.

Laura Beynon, managing director of Dot-to-Dot Marketing also volunteers at the Wilmslow-based animal sanctuary every weekend.

Melanie Hay, trustee at the sanctuary said “We are thrilled to have the expertise of Dot-to-Dot Marketing to provide strategic marketing support. Our new social media strategy and e-newsletter has really helped increase awareness of the work we do and as a result we’ve had more visitors and rehomed more animals.”

Established in 1927, The Animal Sanctuary Wilmslow is run by the Humane Education Society . It cares for and re-houses unwanted cats, horses, rabbits and small animals. It successfully re-homed 181 cats, 2 horses and 7 small animals in 2013.  During 2014, with the added publicity, the charity hopes to help even more animals.
