New club for Cheshire ladies with ‘influence’

It is Cheshire’s newest club and exclusively for ladies who want to use their influence to make a difference in the community.

Cheshire Ladies Philanthropy Club Committee Cheshire Ladies Philanthropy Club Committee

The aim of Cheshire Ladies Philanthropy Club (CLPC) is to encourage women to have a voice in philanthropy by offering meaningful support to organisations and groups in society which need help.

A highly successful launch event, attended by more than 300 ladies, helped further convince organisers there is plenty of scope for this fledgling group to flourish.

Its founders include retired and active business women from Cheshire, including Helen O’Donnell, chief executive of Cheshire Community Foundation, which has awarded more than £1m to worthy causes since it was set up more than two years ago.

“You don’t have to be rich; no minimum donation rules you out, and whatever you give, the impact of your gift is always going to be much greater as part of a collective than it could be alone.”
