It’s time to fire up the Delorean and head back through techno time. Margo Cornish, Ambassador for Teenage Cancer Trust North West and Producer of Runway on the Runway, has organised a charity ball to end all charity balls!
Back to the 80’s will celebrate everything that was good about the 80’s. It promises to be one of the biggest events for Teenage Cancer Trust held outside London, alongside Margo’s blockbuster fashion show “Runway on the Runway”.
Margo said: “One of the star attractions of the evening will be our very own “TCT Crew”, a team of young former oncology patients who will be helping throughout the event. By way of saying thank you for your support, they want to add their own touch to the proceedings by treating us to a very special performance of their own anthem, an anthem of strength and unity, and of course, not forgetting that very important 80’s twist.”
This event will raise valuable funds and very importantly awareness of teenage cancer here in the North West. Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity dedicated to providing expert care and support from the moment they hear the word cancer. They treat them as young people first, cancer patients second and everything they do aims to improve their quality of life and chances of survival.
The event will be held at the Runway Visitor Centre at Manchester Airport on 27th September 2014 where, beneath the wingspan of that great 80’s icon Concorde, guests will enjoy a night to remember.
The team expects that there to be very high demand for tickets, so don’t delay in booking your place. For more information visit the website www.runwayontherunway/backtothe80s or e-mail email@example.com.
