Local man Alastair Chalmers has been working round the clock to make ready his new business showroom Pivot Stove & Heating in the heart of Macclesfield.
He was shocked and delighted when his oldest son Ric walked in unannounced to help out – having flown in out of the blue from New Zealand to pay a surprise visit.
No one could have been better placed to assist Alastair, as Ric looks after the Pivot Stove & Heating brand in New Zealand and it was on a visit to his son and small grandsons in Hasting, North Island last year that Alastair had the idea of launching the established Australian brand in theUK. “We had been working flat out to get the new showroom ready for launch and I could not believe it when I looked up and saw Ric – he was the last person I expected to see but he could not have appeared at a better time and he got stuck in straightaway, despite the jet lag!”
Pivot Stove & Heating is now open for business on Calamine Street in Macclesfield and stocks a huge range of free standing and inset stoves, both wood burning and multi-fuel, plus a range of efficient boiler stoves and range cookers.
Just in time for summer, Pivot will also be catering for outdoor cooking enthusiasts with a range of outdoor pizza ovens. Suitable for much more than turning out perfect pizzas, the wood fuelled ovens are ideal for baking bread, slow cooking casseroles and roasting fish, meat and vegetables, all infused with the delicious flavour of wood smoke.
