The Authentic Kitchen Company is a small, local, company run by Jay and Nicky Davison, a husband and wife team who set up the business with the sole aim of making a difference for those looking to buy a new kitchen and Johanna Bolhoven met up with them recently at their Knutsford showroom.
Now in their thirteenth year, they recently expanded their stunning purpose-built kitchen showroom in Knutsford to showcase two of their bestselling kitchen ranges.
The Authentic Kitchen Company designs and fits luxury fitted kitchens and bedrooms throughout Cheshire. It has two showrooms based in Knutsford and in Stockton Heath.
In October it moved its on-site manufacturing to a neighbouring building and expanded the Knutsford showroom to include two ‘real’ kitchen settings.
Visitors can explore a vast labyrinth of kitchen settings, all bursting with the latest in cabinet innovation, stunning worktops from Cheshire Marble and the world’s best loved appliances from brands including Siemens and Neff.

When I arrived, I was able to browse the displays entirely at my leisure, eventually arriving in the warm and welcoming demonstration kitchen where I was greeted with a smile and a cup of hot tea – perfect.

We settled down for a chat.
With more than 28 years’ combined experience in everything from kitchen design, manufacture and fitting, Jay and Nicky knew they could offer something special.
Jay told me: “I’m a kitchen fitter by trade so I’m acutely aware of the problems and potential stress involved in buying a new kitchen. That is why we started the company, I knew we could make a real difference and provide a professional, honest and friendly stress-free service.”
The team, who have worked together for eight years, consistently strive to achieve the highest standards, whether working from architect’s plans; taking a wall down to create a dream open plan kitchen, or simply installing a new kitchen.
