Wedding guest: shine without outshining the bride!

Next maxi (1)Q. Can I wear silver to a wedding?

A. The bride and groom should be the focus of attention on their big day. That’s not to say you shouldn’t dress up for the occasion but perhaps avoid turning up in anything loud and garish, especially if it risks a reflection worthy of ‘tanning foils’ in the photographs! Shine without outshining the bride and add subtle touches via your dress (think metallic fibres or threads), shoes, clutch or jewellery instead. If you really can’t resist head-to-toe shine, look for clean lines and strong shapes.
