It is one of the tasks I really enjoy; calling the lucky winners of our popular reader competitions to advise them of their success.
Recently, I had the pleasure of calling Julie Kirby to let her know she had been selected – at random from all the correct entries received – as the lucky winner of the ‘Hawkstone Hall & Gardens Hotel Competition’ that appeared in our August issues.
Pretty soon Julie (pictured here with her partner), who lives in Alveston Drive in Wilmslow, will be taking her partner for a luxury mini-break at this fabulous new hotel.
Once again, we received in excess of 2000 entries for the competition from as far afield as Aberdeen and Brighton.
Next month we will be announcing the lucky winner of our ‘Flat Cap Hotels’ competition – who will be selected at random from all those providing the correct answer to our question – after entries close at midday on Monday September 30th. At the time of writing, entries for this competition already exceeded 1900 and a final total around 2250-2500 is anticipated.
